Rivet is a women’s Ultimate Club level team in the Rochester NY area that was formed by a group of crazy fun athletes in the Spring of 2005. Rivet grows every year, but we never lose site of our ultimate goal: work hard, play harder, love your teammates, and learn from your opponents. Every player contributes to the team and our silent understanding is that nobody succeeds unless everybody succeeds.
As a new women’s team in our region, we’ve fought hard over the past years, side by side, to ensure a continued presence in the Rochester area all the while competing with the best on a regional level. Our next stop is Nationals.
Every season, we hold tryouts and welcome all women from up and coming to experienced and anywhere in between. We choose talented, hard working, and vibrant women who buy in to our team philosophy. We share a strong conviction that with hard work we win games, but with continuity, cooperation, and love of the sport, we win tournaments.
To compete at this level, team practices and individual conditioning are crucial. Rivet practices about twice a week and holds skill development clinics on occasional weekends. Generally we attend 4-5 tournaments a summer in order to prepare for the fall series. We also meet up just for fun. After all, we’re all great friends!!
